First of all, check if Kaspersky antivirus is up-to-date and it's real-time protection is still on. If it is on, then most probably you have a resource hogging program running in the background.

Please read the rules again regarding posting problems. The title of this thread should have included [PERF] before the main subject.

That means it has not been activated or that the trial period has expired. In any case, your computer is NOT protected against viruses in any manner.
I suggest you uninstall Kaspersky immediately, and temporarily download avast antivirus from www.avast.com

After installing it, update and schedule a Boot-time scan.
Tell me if any viruses are found, and if they are all successfully removed.
